Before you take the online survey (link is at the bottom of this page), please familiarize yourselves with the content below.
The following images showcase the four street typologies, which were identified based on the characteristics of Bridgeport's streets, that will be further examined in the Complete Streets Design Guide. Each of these street types will be assigned a priority in terms of mode of transportation (i.e., pedestrian, bicycle/scooter, or bus). Guidance for lane widths and configurations, sidewalks, intersections, and other features and amenities will be further refined as this project moves forward. Not all streets in the City’s street network have to accommodate all modes of transportation, but all modes of transportation should be accommodated to the extent feasible by the City’s street network. The Complete Streets Design Guide will demonstrate how this is possible on each of the street types.
The items pictured below will be mentioned in the online survey.
Join us on Thursday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m. for an online conversation conversation on how to make Bridgeport’s street network more safe, convenient, comfortable, and accessible for people of all ages and abilities!
